Can I apply for multiple roles?
Yes. We encourage you to apply for any role that you think suits your skills and experience.
Is there a closing date for the vacancies?
Our recruitment cycle normally takes up to 4 weeks. Please apply via the NEC careers site as soon as possible, we will assess applications as they are received.
Will I be required to undergo a Police Check before commencement?
In New Zealand all employees have had a Ministry of Justice Criminal Record check.
How quickly can I start?
Your commencement date will be agreed by yourself and the hiring manager prior to the offer stage.

Does NEC sponsor visas?
Our first preference is to support local talent, however this would depend on the role and the skills required.
What can I expect after I apply to an advertised position?
The Hiring Manager will be touch with you if your skills match the requirements of the role. Please note due to the volume of applications we receive most of the communication will be via email.
Will I be notified if I am unsuccessful?
Yes. Unsuccessful communications are sent during the recruitment process, and successful candidates are notified at the conclusion.
How many rounds of interviews take place?
This would largely depend on the number of applicants and the seniority of the role. The number of interviews can range from 1-3.
Will I be provided feedback?
If you have attended an interview and were unsuccessful, we try to provide feedback wherever possible. However we are not able to provide specific feedback if you have been unsuccessful at the application review stage.
How should I prepare for an interview?
The interviews questions will be a mix of functional/technical and behavioural based questions. Make sure you do some research on the company and our offerings by visiting our website.
At what stage do I have to provide referee details?
If you are assessed suitable at the interview stage, we will request you to provide details of two referees' (ideally supervisors or line managers) from your most recent experience.
Does NEC accept unsolicited resumes from Third Party Vendors and Recruitment Agencies?
Please note in order to protect the interest of all parties involved in the recruitment process, NEC New Zealand does not accept any unsolicited resumes from third party vendors and recruitment agencies. In the absence of a signed agreement any submission will be deemed as non-binding and NEC New Zealand explicitly reserves the right to pursue and hire the submitted profile.
