This role covers the Manawatu and Hawk’s Bay regions, so at times there may be travel required.  A full driver’s licence and the ability to work nights is essential. 

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working in Data Centre or Telco Exchange environments.
  • Experience working with network switches and routers or server hardware
  • Fibre optic experience (splicing/testing) and using OTDRs 
  • Skilled in managing both small-scale and complex, multi-site IP networking and core infrastructure projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with technical teams, project stakeholders, and customers.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a knack for innovative thinking and a commitment to continuous learning and development in the ICT sector.

We’re excited to offer a part-time National Administrator role (0.5 FTE) in our dynamic Wellington office. This position is central to our operations at NEC New Zealand, where you’ll support our Managing Director and provide vital administrative and logistical assistance across the organisation.

You will have:

  • Proven administration experience including document preparation, diary management, travel management, event/function management
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office – Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Strong organisation skills with an eye for detail
  • Great communication skills and
  • Have a customer focused approach to everything you do.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accounting Manager to lead our small Finance team to deliver core accounting functions and statutory reporting at NEC New Zealand.  You will also work closely with our NEC Australia finance colleagues.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, ideally in the technology sector
  • Experience in leading a finance team
  • Proficiency in cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Experience using SAP Business by Design/SAP and BI reporting tools (e.g. TM1)
  • Ability to analyse financial data and provide insights to management for decision making
  • Strong communication skills, particularly with presenting to a non-financial audience, and
  • Advanced problem solving skills to identify issues, recommend solutions and implement process improvements
